Psalm 40:2

Hello, hello!!  Hope you're having a wonderful weekend.  Our weather couldn't have been more perfect today!
Thought I would join in on this week's Monday Mojo challenge.
ODBD, Linda Carson
      Here's the sketch.
When I saw this sketch my first thought was to  use scripture in the long center panel.  Sometimes larger verses or sentiments can be challenging.  Now I have the perfect sketch to use for either one.
Scripture and heart dies are from ODBD.  The pierced dies are MFT.   Paper is My Mind's Eye.
Thanks for stopping in!  Enjoy your weekend!

Cancer Tag

Hi friends!  My cousin had been battling breast cancer this past year.  Thankfully after chemo and radiation her latest scan showed no cancer!  We are praising the Lord!
To encourage her I made this pocket card containing a tag of What Cancer Cannot Do.  I thought she could keep it with her as a reminder of the limits of cancer.

I don't remember where I purchased this stamp but I have used it before.  The doily is ODBD and paper is Heidi Swapp.  Petite flowers with pearls just added a happy touch!
     Thanks for visiting!

Hello all!  I've been missing in action!  I didn't mean to take a break and especially one lasting this long.  I'll share more in another post.
This card is for the Shining the Light sketch challenge at ODBD that ends today.  I used their beautiful set called Fragrance.  The paper is the Shabby Rose collection also ODBD.
It felt good to create a card.  I am so rusty!  Those Copics scare me and I had to really think how to use my Big Shot.  Then there's this uploading and editing stuff.  Gee whiz!  Hopefully it will all fall together again.
I trust all of you are doing great and continuing to create.  Until next time thanks for stopping by!

Merry Be Your Christmas

Welcome back!  It's week 2 of our sketch challenge at Shining the Light with Our Daily Bread Designs.
Our Daily Bread Designs, Sparkling Stars dies, His Birth, Winter Collection 2014, designer Linda Carson

My card starts with the Winter Collection 2014 papers.  The sentiment and stars are from His Birth set.  The pattern in the stars matches the pattern in the papers.  The stars were cut using Sparkling Stars dies.
I wish the picture showed all of the sparkle from gold embossing on the stars to golden thread and golden stitches.  Even the paper with the sentiment sparkles.  Lastly the sparkle on the golden dots.

Rustic Wreath

designer Linda Carson
Hey all!  Today's card was made with one of those happy surprises I discovered in my Christmas stash purchased last year!  It's a Spellbinders 3D M-Bossabilities folder.
I searched Pinterest to see cards created using this folder and came across this beautiful card by Debbie Olson.  I do love her work and stalk her often!
Debbie airbrushed her card and shared the Copic colors she used.  Since I've been dabbling in airbrushing as in the Little Drummer Boy card I thought I would CASE her card. Hope you'll visit Debbie's blog and see what this jewel looks like airbrushed by a pro!
The things I changed were distressing the edges and mounting on green cardstock.  I played around with other larger bows and embellishments but decided to keep it flat for mailing.
Sentiment is from the ODBD His Birth set with die cutting using ODBD Mini Tags.
     Thanks for visiting!

Sleigh Ride

Hi friends!  Christmas is fast approaching!  This 2 week sketch challenge at Shining the Light with Our Daily Bread Designs will help finish up those Christmas cards.

I chose the new set Let It Snow.  The image was stamped with Memento brown ink for a softer look.   The sentiment is from His Birth set and die cut using the new Mini Tag dies.  Paper is ODBD Christmas Collection 2013.
