Wisemen

Welcome!  Our Holiday biweekly challenge continues this week at Shining the Light with Our Daily Bread Designs.  Remember it can be Thanksgiving or Christmas.

ODBD, Poinsettia Wreath, Wisemen Ornament, Circle Ornaments die, Matting Circles dies, designer Linda Carson
For today's card I used the Wisemen Ornament along with a sentiment from the Poinsettia Wreath set.  The dies used include Circle Ornaments and Matting Circles.
The Wisemen were stamped using Delicata Golden Glitz pigment die.  Ladies, if you haven't tried this ink grab a coupon and head to the craft store!  A bit pricy for an ink pad but it's absolutely gorgeous without using embossing powder.
The stars were made using a stencil, embossing paste and Brilliance ink refill.  A few rhinestones and golden twine complete the card.
Please visit the other ladies on the Challenge Team for some beautiful inspiration.

Merry Christmas

Hi friends!  Our biweekly challenge at Shining the Light with Our Daily Bread Designs is to make a Holiday card.  It can be Thanksgiving or Christmas.

Our Daily Bread Designs, Poinsettia Wreath, Elegant Oval dies, Flourish Star Pattern die, Christmas Paper 2014, designer Linda Carson
My Christmas card was made using the new Flourished Star Pattern die and Christmas Collection 2014 Paper.  It's a tad bit busy but I think it works!!  Merry Christmas is part of the Poinsettia Wreath set cut out with an Elegant Oval die.
There are so many beautiful combinations using the Flourished Star Pattern die.  I encourage you to take time to visit the ODBD Gallery or even ODBD on Pinterest for design team samples.
Please visit the other designers on the Challenge Team for inspiring inspirations.

Autumn Blessings

Hi everyone!  We're continuing our biweekly challenge at Shining the Light with Our Daily Bread Designs.  We want you to make a card or project inspired by Ecclesiastes 3:1, "For everything there is a season and a time for every purpose under heaven."
ODBD, Autumn Blessings, Elegant Oval dies, designer Linda Carson
Again I chose to make a fall card using the Autumn Blessings set.  This set does come with coordinating dies but for some odd reason I don't have them.  I had to fussy cut the leaves and acorns.  The sentiment uses an Elegant Oval die.
The starburst was made using a Silhouette.  The rays are flush on the card.  Papers by Authentique.
Please visit the other designers on the Challenge Team for more inspiration.

Sunflower

Linda Carson, PSX stamp
Hi all!  One day without knowing what in the world to do with it I purchased a stamp!  I didn't have a clue.  I was just curious.  This PSX stamp was probably one of my first 5 to purchase still not knowing what to do with them.
After internet searches plus trial and error (which still happens) I learned about stamping and that included coloring with Twinkling H20's.  I need to use this style of coloring more often for the sparkle and rich colors.  Wish the sparkle showed in the photo.
Should you have any PSX stamps for sale please leave a comment.  I might be interested.
Glad I was curious enough to try stamping.  It's been great.  I found a hidden talent I didn't know I had.  I've brighten someone's day with a card.  And, I have made friends through the stamping community that I truly admire in more ways than just their artwork!
Blessings my friends!!  Enjoy your Wednesday!

Mother and Child

Hello again!  We're continuing on with our biweekly challenge at Shining the Light with Our Daily Bread Designs.  It's Anything Goes using only ODBD images.
ODBD, Mother and Child, Midnight Clear, Matting Circles die, Fancy Foliage die, designer Linda Carson

Again I chose to use the background stamp A Midnight Clear.  It's a beautiful image, versatile and looks good stamped on patterned paper. I paired the background with the Mother and Child ornament.
The ornament was cut using the new Matting Circles dies.  I then used embossing powder to enhance the image.  The ornament is hanging from a sprig using Fancy Foliage die.
Please visit the other designers on the Challenge Team for more inspiration.
