Pumpkin

Welcome!  We're continuing the biweekly challenge at Shining the Light with Our Daily Bread Designs with a photo challenge.  Here again are the photos you can chose from.

This week I went with the pumpkin photo.
ODBD, Pumpkin, Pumpkin die, Doily die, designer Linda Carson
As you can see I chose the Pumpkin image with the Pumpkin die.  I really love this pumpkin with its huge leaves.  I added dimension by coloring a second set of leaves and popped them up using 3-D Silicone.  It's also called Scrap Dots and comes in a tube.  Using this product you can adjust the height to your preference instead of pop dots.  It's great for smaller items.
I embossed the Doily die behind the pumpkin.  The rest are embellishments of stitching, burlap ribbon, twine and a button.  It's a hard/soft take on the photo
Now it's time for you to visit the rest of the Challenge Team for more inspiration:

Welcome friends!  We have a photo challenge for you at Shining the Light with Our Daily Bread Designs.  Remember you have 2 weeks for this challenge.  Be inspired by the colors or images.  We just want you to have fun!!

I chose both the flowers and colors.
Properties: Our Daily Bread Designs, Beautiful Border dies, Aster dies, Fancy Foliage dies, Scripture Series 3, Flower Pot Fancy Fold cards, designer Linda Carson

I've always wanted to make one of these flower pot cards.  ODBD sells pre-cut, pre-fold Fun and Fancy Fold cards.  This flower pot card is one of those Fancy Folds available.  I used 3 different ODBD die cuts, Aster and Leaves, Beautiful Borders and Fancy Foliage.   The papers are Teresa Collins.

Happy Birthday

Linda Carson, Verve

Hello!  Today I took some Cosmo Cricket papers and made a card using this week's Deconstructing Jen's sketch with a Verve sentiment.
The embellishment came with the papers.  I normally don't use those but this one worked just fine especially since I didn't like what I originally had in mind.
I have a little tip of something I do.  When I use a sketch that I like from a challenge I'll sketch it out in a notebook.  After making the card I'll go back and measure the length and width of each element, square, etc. and jot those on the sketch in the notebook.  This way the next time I make a card using the sketch it's a breeze to come together.  I hope all that made sense and may be something you might try.
Thanks for dropping by!  Enjoy your day!

You Are A Blessing

Welcome friends!  Today we begin a new bimonthly challenge at Shining the Light with Our Daily Bread Designs.  We want to see stitching either real or faux on your card or project.

Doily Blessings, Elizabeth, Doily die, Vintage Labels die, Soulful Stitches, designer Linda Carson
My card features products from this month's beautiful release. The sentiment is from the Doily Blessings set.   The dress/form is a single stamp named Elizabeth.
I used the Doily Dies as well as the Soulful Stitches Papers.   Vintage Labels were used to cut the sentiment where you'll see the stitching.

Different Flamingo

Linda Carson

Hi friends!  I hope this card doesn't make you dizzy!  It's pretty bold and wild!  I'm playing along with this week's Mojo sketch challenge.
I'm having playtime with my new Fabulous Flamingo set and dies from Reverse Confetti.   I like all of the sentiments in this set so you'll see it again.
This particular sentiment just screamed to make one of the flamingos different.  That's why one is traditional pink and the other is red.  I also used one red sequin outside the box to continue the different theme.  Fun, huh?
The papers are My Mind's Eye.
So glad you came to visit!!  May you have a creative day filled with mojo!!
